We have now begun the works along The River Bure which involves welding steel plates to corroded sections of sheet piling and installing a protection system which controls the rate of corrosion of the steel piling. The concrete flood defence wall will also be repaired to ensure that it provides the best standard of protection.
We are predominantly working from pontoons on the river however a small machine will also be working from the river side of the flood defence wall.
For safety reasons the public footpath along the quay is closed and parking is restricted along Tar Works Road. A diversion route will be in place. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Access to the White Swan Fish and Seafood restaurant will be unaffected by the works.
